My first resume was focused on my experience as a whole. It was pretty general so I gave ChatGPT the prompt: “Create two alternate versions of my resume, Version 1 should focus on Marketing and Communications and Version 2 should focus on Business Operations and Customer Service” With this prompt AI was able to generate a stronger and more focused based resumes. This made my resume better because it helped target a specific industry which kept relevance. AI also improved the wording of my resumes which makes it more appealing to employers. I learned that the more specific and clear you are with your prompts to AI the better the results. If i hadn’t told AI what I want the focus of the resumes to be it would’ve done poor job at creating two more resumes. Its important to tailor your resume depending on the job your’e looking for and AI is a great tool to see what strengths fit which industry.
